Do you have an interest in wine and a little spare time (on a Tuesday night) and want to take your knowledge to the next level? Suitable for all levels!
AJ Humphreys, in association with Pembroke Wines & Spirits Wanaka are offering a 6 week course covering the basics of wine presented in a relaxed and informal way. AJ has over 30 years of experience in the wine industry and 25 years ago, he helped the original founders to set up Pembroke Wines!
The course will focus on taking the mystery and fear out of talking about the world of wine, how to buy the right wine for the right occasion, what food to match it with, regional and international variations and how to serve it… All whilst sampling some fine examples! The course will cover the basics of the wine making process, white and red wine varieties, sparkling and fortified wines. The massively complex world of wine will be distilled into simple, approachable language and explanations with 6 fun sessions.
Beginning on the 13th of August, the sessions will take place weekly on Tuesday evening from 6.45-8.30pm at Pembroke Wines & Spirits Wanaka.
The 6 week course is $99.50 per person.
