Settle into August with our Big Reds

Our monthly events are proving popular! Thanks to those who came to our Unique Tequila Tasting in July and our Wana-Wine tasting event in June. We’re expecting our next event to sell out just as quickly, so secure your tickets early to avoid disappointment.

Big Red’s in Wanaka

Red Wine Tasting is on Wednesday, 25th of August 2021, from 7:00-9:00 pm. The world of big reds in Wanaka includes red wine varieties from Australia, Spain, France, Italy, South and North America. We will be tasting 16 big reds from around the world and delicious food made by Troy. We have invited four of our wine representatives of great international wine importing companies, who will be pouring different varieties of Red wines from the world.

Tickets are $50 per person. Book by phone on 034437818 or email us at info@pembrokewines.co.nz. Keep an eye on Facebook and Instagram for more updates!

Take a Red home with you!

Our team can help you pick out the perfect red, whether it’s for tonight’s dinner party or your home cellar collection. We’ve got the best range of Central Otago Pinot Noirs from local wineries.

If you can’t visit us in person, we offer nationwide shipping options that are easy and fast. We charge $15 for South Island deliveries and $20 for North Island deliveries, an additional $10 for rural deliveries. Call the shop and order now.

Few New Tastes in our menu!

We’ve updated our menu, and we can’t wait for you to try it.

Our menu features nine tasting paddles (wine, beer, vodka, whiskey, gin, you name it!) and now our Unique Tequila tasting paddle, featured in our July event.

As always, a fantastic selection of wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages from AF Company, Ecology non-alcoholic gin and cocktails. Don’t forget to try our gourmet platters, including staff favourites the Hot Camembert Fondue or the WORKS platter, perfect for a post-ski pick me up!

A new must-try addition to the menu is our platter, including smoked sardines from Latvia, served with capers, cornichons, pickled onion, lemon mayo, herbs and bark bread. This platter is great for pairing with our first-week white wine and International day of Albarino Wine day on the 2nd of August. We all prefer to drink Albarino in the summer, but don’t forget it is summer somewhere else in the world.

We have two on offer:

From New Zealand, Marlborough, 2020 is Nautilus, a traditional Spanish grape that produces an intensely aromatic wine with notes of stone fruits and a long, zesty finish,

or

Pazo Cilleiro Albarino, 2019 from Rias Baixas, Spain – The wine’s brilliant clarity leads to a fruity and very suggestive aroma. The palate is balanced, broad and vibrant, leaves the memory of pure, fresh and surrounding flavours.
