This has been the shortest long year that we have ever experienced, and we are READY- Santa hat on, mistletoe dangling from the pom pom- to get into the festive spirit(s). Ho ho ho.
Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone that has journeyed with us on the wonderful adventure that was 2020.
We have had an unexpectedly happy year, filled with memorable gatherings, quality drinks and plenty of laughs.
We’ve hosted a whole array of events from ‘social bubble' tastings to ‘keep your gin up’ and had the honour of welcoming many distinguished wine makers, producers and representatives to help us broaden our palates.
We may not have been able to travel and explore more new international wines & craft spirits however, here in Wanaka, we did become fluent at winese.
Our Pick of the Week is the Castelnau Champagne 2006.
We are beginning December with our guests number one choice out of 17 different bottles at the bubble tasting- from one of the best Champagne vintages in recent times. A blend dominated by Chardonnay and aged for 11 years on lees has produced a mature, toasty and yeasty wine with a complex balance between the secondary flavours and the still-crisp apple fruits. It is recommended to drink now.

We are not only celebrating the festivities!
It is officially 2 years on the 4th of December since Nadia & Troy Davidson became the owners of Pembroke Wines & Spirits. They would like to extend an invitation to you to join the PWSW team to enjoy a tasting of Curatif Espresso Martini, Negroni or bubbles accompanied with light nibbles on Friday the 4th of December at 6pm to celebrate.
